What is a Service ?

Available Services

A Service is basically a USERNAME and a PASSWORD to connect with a 3rd Party Application.

A Service could also be one or more e-mail addresses where you would like to send the captured information. ( See how to set up an email address )  

When you create and execute a Survey / Mobile Form - Captured Data will be Stored in your Blackberry in the following folder

SDCard/Emser/Esurvey  

If you want to synchronize captured data with your own back-office or a cloud based service such as Box.net or Zoho.com you will need to provide to eSurvey your UserName and Password to Login into your account and upload that information 

For instance, if you want to Upload all your captured data to your Business Intelligence Dashboard with Zoho Reports  ( click here for more info ) then you will need to Create a Service to store your UserName and Password so that eSurvey can connect to Zoho and upload the captured information

Once the UserName and Password is entered - you have to click : Account Sign In to verify connectiviy with your account 

Because you can have more than one Database / Table  within your Zoho Reports account, then you will have to choose which Database and Table you would like to work with when invoking this Service 

Then you will have to choose your Table and Save your Service 

You can create as many services as you want for each one of your accounts

If you happen to have another Table within a particular Database in Zoho Creator, then you will need to Create a second Service that maps ( selects ) that Table 

eSurvey will allow you to send your collected data ( synchronize ) Simultaneously to as many Services as you want ( one of each )

By default, when you install eSurvey, an email Service is created with your Blackberry Default e-mail address - meaning that every time you create and execute a survey , results could be automatically delivered to your e-mail address
